Originally from Australia, I grew up in the Philippines and immigrated to the US as a young adult. My love for languages started in this cross-cultural childhood adventure, continued with linguistics and Arabic language and cultural studies during university, and was deepened by Master's degrees for ancient languages as a young father.
At every stage my language experience has been augmented by computers. During university I studied corpus linguistics and dreamed of computational power sufficient to process the experiments proposed.
Now after working 20 years in various technology roles, my passion is refocused on delivering value with modern Natural Language Processing tools. In my personal time, I have developed Machine Learning and Deep Learning skills, reflecting my continuing life long desire to learn and deliver value.

Creating custom entities to label business texts using spaCy framework.
Created solution to secure SFTP keys for connection to servers from Alteryx Gallery workflows.

Since many existing workloads are scheduled through BMC's Control-M platform, I created a Python interface for the Alteryx platform.
Extended CamzBarber's project to cover user and admin functions for 3 different internal projects. The current number of API endpoints is double the initial count, including significant extensions to make updates to the server.
Completed the Coursera 'DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer' specialization.
Select notebooks submitted for Continuing Education ML/DL classes taken at UCI. These were 2 of my first ML/DL classes.
A review of my experience attending Alteryx Build2 in 2019, using the new Python SDK abstraction layer to build a custom tool.
After a related work project, I decided to experiment with Dask data frames to make Pandas processing faster.
Created a recursive Python program to generate Word Search puzzles for my family.
Based on a weekend project to create word cloud images, I revised the code to demonstrate how to use this popular Python library.
