Born in Australia, most of my early years were spent in the Philippines until finishing high school back in Australia.
Completed bachelors degrees in both Arts and Science because I wanted to study linguistics and language, but also loved mathematics. Fell into computer science because I ran out of math courses! Also, I was very fortunate to be able to participate in the summer Arabic language and culture immersion program in the Middle East.
For 18 months, I taught mathematics and science at an international school in Manila after graduation. Family needs brought us to California, and I quickly found a niche working with data programming.
Continuing my love of languages, we moved to Boston for 3 years where I pursued full-time Master's degrees and continued working part-time.
For 20 years, I've worked in technology roles for large companies helping deliver value to customers.
Most of my personal time is spent with my family, and I also enjoy cycling, building computers, watching Formula 1, and reading about languages, linguistics and history.
